To Chur
Well, we survived our night quite adequately! True to my race, having paid the best part of £15 each for breakfast ( Thank you Switzerland ;)) we made sure that we ate pretty much everything placed in front of us. This wasn’t really a problem, as we were both suffering from cyclists hunger anyway. I think the only thing left, beyond the salt, pepper and the plum jam (yuk) was a forlorn pot of yoghurt.
Paid the bill and off we went. Sian was a little bit nervous about the uphills on the way, but in fact just taking it steady and having plenty of wee(Scottish for small, not what you were thinking. Although we did have to do that anyway) stops made it perfectly conquerable. Again lots of picture perfect views of the Alps along with fine weather.
Respect paid in descending order today to the following
1) Anyone like us with front and back panniers ( and especially if they are also towing a child at the back)
2)Rear panniers but no front panniers
3) Racing bikes
4) Mountain bikes
5)Electric bikes

Arrived in Chur about 2, and having learnt the lesson of yesterday, I had researched a camp site and we went straight there. As is the nature of these places, when we got there it was a nice quiet field. By 8 o’clock as I am sitting writing this, that quiet field has now taken on the appearance of a refugee camp. It’s all very well natured, and as far as I can see we have the Dutch, the Czechs, the Russians and somewhat bizarrely a contingent from Thailand.
Directly next to me is a chap who appears to be the spitting image of an action man toy, complete with crew cut, bulky torso and accessories in the shape of a tent, car and two mountain bikes. He hasn’t actually said a word so far, but this perhaps is because the nobody has pulled the little string that is hidden under his t shirt.
The view as we set off in the morning
A little honesty cabin, where you could help yourself to cold drinks etc
We descended this at speed. What I would call a "Wheeee" hill
It's hard to select just one awesome view
The Rhine, and one of the ubiquitous railway lines
The road to Chur
